Sam Michael: The World's Oldest Man

What life advice did the Guinness World Records' Oldest Man give Sam Michael — and why did it make him rethink everything from love, to his health, to Butlins Big Weekenders?

Forever failing to live in the moment, this lad-turned-tired-dad takes a hilarious, nostalgic look at missing his chance to seize the day in youth. Less Carpe Diem, more It can wait until tomorrow (Potest donec cras!), and his increasingly tragic attempts to make up for it before he hits 40.

The World's Oldest Man is Sam Michael's debut solo show; a warm, self-deprecating hour of stand-up comedy, packed with relatable regret. Catch it live at The Jesters Comedy Club in Bath on Saturday 23 November.

Chortle calls it "an enjoyable hour in easy-going company" — "cheekily self-deprecating... engagingly told by a natural, relaxed performer."

Sam Michael is fast becoming one of the most exciting voices on the UK comedy circuit, with performances described as a "comedy masterclass" on BBC Radio Bristol. He's also supported Al Murray, Dom Joly, and Matt Richardson on their national tours.

"Very good, very funny." — Dom Joly
