Joe Riley & Ollie Young – Work In Progress | Live Stand-Up Comedy in Bath

Joe Riley and Ollie Young bring a Work In Progress stand-up comedy show to The Jesters Comedy Club in Bath, offering audiences a rare chance to see emerging material from two of the UK’s most exciting rising acts.

Joe Riley is a boy from Devon who now has to be a man in a city, with unbelievable stories and surreal jokes, he will confuse you and entertain you all in the same sentence.

"Joe Riley invites the audience into a distinctive world rarely shared in stand-up.

Interesting, evocative and distinctive and intriguing". Chortle

"infectiously silly" Matt Rees.

Ollie Young is a new-generation comic from Bath with a growing reputation for dry wit, quick writing and awkward likability. A Stand-Up for Cider finalist and Chortle Student Comedy Award semi-finalist, he has already turned heads on the comedy scene and earned praise for his engaging stage presence. “Turns out a lot funnier than that sounds,” said Bath Echo of his performances.

Work in progress shows give you a front-row seat to how comedians test new ideas, refine jokes, and shape material before it becomes a full tour set — often leading to unpredictable, hilarious, and unforgettable moments.

This show is a must-see if you’re interested in live stand-up comedy in Bath, discovering the next big names in British comedy, or catching high-energy, original new material in an intimate underground comedy club.
