Carl Carzana & Nate Kitch: Edinburgh Preview | The Jesters

Before the work-in-progress shows hit the Fringe, they get tested somewhere smaller and a lot more honest. This is one of those nights. Two of the most interesting acts heading to Edinburgh bring their new hours to our 50-seat room under Alfred Street, fresh enough that anything could happen.

Carl Carzana is a storyteller first, the kind who builds a daft idea into something you did not see coming. A Musical Comedy Awards semi-finalist and a former Bath Comedy Festival runner-up, he trades in off-beat charm and properly crafted material. Chortle reckons he "literally can't lose."

Nate Kitch is the opposite energy and just as worth your time. The 2024 Best Newcomer nominee and Malcolm Hardee Award nominee takes stand-up apart and rebuilds it in front of you, all crafted chaos, big ideas and the odd diagram. Chortle calls him "a real WTF comic." Expect five-star reviews to make sense once you have seen it.

Two distinct comic minds, one cheap ticket, and the chance to say you saw the show before Edinburgh did. Seats are limited and these nights tend to go.
