David Hoare: How To Live to 100 — Edinburgh Fringe Preview, Live in Bath
Musical comedian David Hoare brings his new Edinburgh Fringe hour to The Jesters Comedy Club, Bath, for a preview ahead of this summer's run. The premise: he's 37, and he's going to teach you how to live to 100. The method: rude songs, stupid jokes, and an oddly persuasive amount of insightful expertise.
Hoare won the Musical Comedy Awards 2021 Audience Favourite, sold out his 2022 Edinburgh run, and has gone on tour supporting Alison Spittle, Mark Nelson, Lauren Pattison and Dr Ed Patrick. If you've seen him at The Jesters before, you'll know what's coming. If you haven't, the reviews give you the shape of it:
"An annoyingly funny young man" — Gary Delaney
"David has that magic combination of quick wit and observational insight" — EdFringeReview.com
"Slick one-liners and aggression akin to Bo Burnham, James Acaster or Tim Vine" — Deadline.com
About the night
Edinburgh Fringe previews are how comedians road-test the hour they're taking up to the festival, which means you're catching the show in its most alive, slightly dangerous state, in a 50-seat basement that suits it perfectly. Live musical comedy in Bath, in a room small enough that every one-liner lands.
