Sam Hawkins started his stand-up career by bombing. Badly. Possibly historically badly. He'll tell you all about it.

That first, brutal open mic set happened just before COVID hit, and rather than pack it in, Sam did the opposite. He built a comedy club. He launched Pint & A Laugh. He became an MC. He became better.

Now he runs The Jesters Comedy Club, Bath's only five-nights-a-week comedy venue, and spends his time doing the two things he loves most: making people laugh, and helping new comics figure out how to do the same.

On stage, Sam's working class, a bit sweary (happily so), and talks about his life with the honesty of a man who has nothing to prove and everything to enjoy. He loves words, loves people, and loves his job. It shows (hopefully).
