Alex Kitson

Multi-award-winning stand-up. “The future of British comedy ★★★★★” ThreeWeeks

Bio Alex Kitson is a multi-award-winning stand-up, writer and performer. Cutting his teeth in Bristol—where he founded and MC’d several hit nights including the Chortle Award-winning White Bear Comedy Club—he was hailed as “the best of Bristol’s rising comics” (Bristol 24/7) and a “Bristol comedy legend” (The Kettle). Now London-based, his debut hour earned multi-award nominations at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe, including ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer and Dave’s Funniest Joke, with gags picked among the year’s Best Jokes by national press. His 2025 follow-up, This Is Water, sold out, drew a clutch of ★★★★★ reviews, and was named one of the best-reviewed shows of the Fringe by British Comedy Guide. Kitson has written for the BBC and Channel 4, supported Fin Taylor, Tom Ward, Tom Houghton, Morgan Rees, Ed Patrick and Vittorio Angelone on tour, and his first book, Embarrassment (and my usual excuses), is due later this year.
