The Open Mic

Bath's weekly open mic night, where absolutely anyone can put their name down and see what happens. The Open Mic is grassroots stand-up in its purest form, first-timers who've never said a word into a microphone before, sharing a bill with seasoned acts and touring comedians trying out new ideas. Every show is different, because every line-up is different, right up until the moment it starts.

Every Wednesday, downstairs in Bath's underground comedy basement, you'll catch things you won't see anywhere else: a debut that goes better than anyone expected, a bit that has no right to work and somehow does, the odd glorious disaster. That unpredictability is the whole appeal. Doors open at 7.30pm.
